15 MAC Eyeshadows I Couldn't Live Without

What if you could only have one 15 eyeshadow palette from MAC? What are your must-have colors you would pick? I have lots of MAC eyeshadows but I find I have my favorites that I reach for time and time again. Here are my top picks:

1. Tilt. I absolutely adore this color-I wear it at least half the days of the week. The blue-violet with green duochrome just really enhances my brown eyes. I think this may be my first MAC e/s that I hit the pan on.

2. Contrast. This is my second favorite blue color. This is an amazing dark purple-navy color that also looks amazing on me. I love to pair it with Tilt.

3. Shroom. This is hands-down my favorite highlighter color. It always looks gorgeous without being too bright on the browbone with my skintone. It is a satin finish light beige color with subtle shimmer.

4. Satin Taupe. My favorite brown e/s. It's a cool mid-tone brown. A brown that actually looks nice with my skintone. Can easily be made smokey or subtle.

5. Charcoal Brown. I use this color to fill in my brows everyday. It is just a perfect match. It is a matte midtone brown color.

6. Carbon. This is the blackest-black matte e/s that you will ever find. I also use this on almost a daily basis. There are so many uses for this one. I use it on the outer corner of the eye to smoke out any look, line the lower lashline with, and to smudge eyeliner.

7. Shadowy Lady. I have really grown to love this deep matte plum. It's beautiful to smoke out purple looks when you don't want to do black. I recently wore it on my lid over Nice Vice Paint Pot and it was just gorgeous.

8. Parfait Amour. I love this purple color on me. It's a blue-violet shade that's just so pretty. Could have better pay-off but I can build it up to the intensity that I want.

9. Nocturnelle. This pink-purple color in the crease really makes my eye color pop. Love it.

10. Swish. My favorite pink from MAC. It is an icy pink that is beautiful and glad to finally have found a pink that doesn't make me look sick!

11. Knight. This is limited edition but I really do love it. It came out with the BBR collection. It's similar to Knight Divine without the blue undertone. It's more of a true grey. Looks pretty in the crease.

12. Scene. Such a pretty soft grey color with subtle shimmer. Very versatile.

13. Humid. This is MAC's best green e/s IMO. It is such a deep gorgeous green that can be worn a lot of different ways.

14. Shimmermoss. A gorgeous shimmering teal color. I think I may like this one on me better than I like the infamous Parrot e/s.

15. All That Glitters. This is a very pretty natural shimmering beige-gold color. I think this one would work well on anyone. Makes beautiful neutral looks.

So there you have it! So now, what are your favorites?

MAC Style Warriors Haul & Quick Review

Hello all of you gorgeous peps! I got the chance to go to the MAC Counter today to *finally* check out Style Warriors in person. It's a pretty collection. I picked up a few things that I really liked, didn't get almost everything like I usually do-got to be frugal because my fiance and I are in the process of buying a house. My first impression of this collection: all about the packaging. And I must admit that I am a sucker for animal prints, so it was hard for me not to get almost every single thing. However, I tried to not judge the book by it's cover and look at the actual product itself. I know you have all probably seen all kinds of swatches of this collection on the internet. Let me just say this: I feel like almost all the eye shadows in this collection are almost exactly like other shadows in the permanent line. Soft Force e/s is identical to Nylon e/s. Night Manuevers e/s is very very close to Brun e/s. Vibrant Grape e/s is pretty, but I already had it, as well as Tempting e/s. I really thought I was going to pick up Bright Future e/s but when I saw it in person, it looked very similar to Bright Sunshine e/s, which I already had, and honestly, how many yellow eye shadows do you really need?

The Solar Bits are gorgeous if you like them. I know with a lot of people they either love them or hate them. I honestly like the way they look, even though you have to be careful when applying them because of the potential fall-out. I picked up Bronzescape-which is a shimmery golden bronze color.

The lip products were probably my favorite things from this collection. I picked up two of the four lipsticks. I got Purple Rite and Brave New Bronze. Both are very unique IMO. Purple Rite is described by MAC as "mid-tone frosty orchid." It comes off as a gorgeous pink-lavender on the lips instead of an in your face purple. MAC describes Brave New Bronze "creamy mid-tone pink nude." I love nude lip colors, so this is right up my alley. I got one lipglass in Fierce and Fabulous which is a pretty magenta-purple color.

Last but not least, I got one of the beauty powder blushes in On A Mission. I absolutely love bpb anyway, but to me this one was really unique. It is described as "pearly mid-tone plum." It's gorgeous and I can't wait to wear it!

So there it is, folks, my little haul. All in all, I think that this is a nice collection, definitely worth checking out.

Favorite Drugstore Beauty Products

Let's face it, times are tough with the economy these days. We all don't have the cash to be shelling out for expensive beauty products. Here are some drugstore products that I think are just as good, if not better, than the higher end versions.

1. Revlon ColorStay Foundation. This foundation is the bomb! It gives great coverage and truly does last all day. I'm a nurse and work 12 hr. shifts and this stuff really holds up! It creates a flawless finish that is comparable to Studio Fix Fluid by MAC. It comes in two formulas-one for normal/dry skin and one for combination/oily skin. I use the normal/dry skin formula in the shade "Fresh Beige." Has an average cost of about $12.

2. Revlon ColorStay Pressed Powder. This is probably the best low end powder you can find. Gives skin a very matte finish that lasts. It works really well in conjunction with the ColorStay Foundation. This is ALWAYS in my purse! I wear the shade "Medium." This powder costs about $10.

3. Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner. Can you tell I'm a fan of Revlon products? This eyeliner is just as good as any high end liquid liner, and as with other Revlon products, it really does last. The felt tip applicator is very precise and makes it easy to apply. Liquid liner is always a challenge for me, but this is really easy. I like the shade "Blackest Black." This costs about $7.

4. CoverGirl Cheekers Blush in Rose Silk. This is a very pigmented peachy-pink blush, similar to the infamous NARS Orgasm Blush. The brush it comes with is not great, but at $4, you just can't beat it!

5. CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara. This is the first of my two drugstore mascara loves. LashBlast separates amazingly well and gives great volume better than any high end mascara I've tried. It also holds a curl incredibly well and beautifully darkens the lashes. Plus, how can you resist the big, bright orange tube? I prefer the waterproof formula in the shade "Very Black." This retails for about $7.50.

6. Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express Mascara. This mascara really turns up the volume! With a larger brush similar to Diorshow, the results this one gives is really impressive. I like both the waterproof and non-waterproof versions of this in the shade "Glam Black." About $5.50 at Wal-Mart.

7. NYX Single Eye Shadow. These are by far the cheapest, most pigmented, and blendable eye shadows you can find for the price. You can get them for $3.50 a piece at cherryculture.com. They have about any color you can think of! A few of my favorite colors are Spring Flower, Atlantic, Ocean, Deep Purple, Iced Mocha, and Charcoal.

8. Loreal De-Crease Eye Shadow Base. This is a flesh-colored eye shadow primer that is a great alternative to UDPP or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Makes your shadows last a lot longer than it they would on their own. I have to admit, nothing will ever replace my TFSI, but this is a good alternative for the price. Costs about $7.

9. NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss. I LOVE these lipglosses. They are very pigmented, have a wide range of colors, aren't sticky, and smell like cherries. What's not to love? They are $4 at cherryculture.com. My favorite shades are "Natural" and "Smokey Look."

10. NYX Black Label Lipstick. Some of the best lipstick I have tried. Very light, creamy, and smell like grapes! Vibrant color selection as well. My favorites are "Hot Pink," "Dusty Rose," and "Heiress." They are $7 at cherryculture.com.
